Yes, absolutely! Everyone in the fingerboard scene is invited to join this contest. The main idea is to give fingerboarders who just have fun with it, the opportunity to participate in this project with a cool design. Many people from the fingerboard scene are creative or even work as artists, graphic designers or similar. All that matters is a cool design from you.

Black on white background or on white paper. All black areas in your design will be engraved. Make sure that all lines and areas that are going to be engraved are 100% black. Shades of gray or shadows are not possible.

Please draw only on a white sheet of paper without lines or checks, e.g. printer paper or special paper for painting and drawing. Use a black pen that covers very well, e.g. Molotow markers or similar.

Size of your drawing: 110 x 38 mm or 38 x 110 mm.

When you're done, scan your drawing at the highest quality using a scanner or smartphone app such as iScanner (iPhone). A simple photo of your drawing is not sufficient.

Yes, sure!

Export and save your design as a JPG, PNG, or PDF file with 300 dpi resolution.

That is up to you. The only important thing is that you are able to save and export your design as a JPG, PNG, or PDF file with 300 dpi resolution.

Sure, no problem. Again, it's important that you have the ability to save and export your design as a JPG, PNG, or PDF file with 300 dpi resolution.

More grip appears at the transitions between black and white areas in your design. White areas in your graphic are normal FBS Tape, black areas are laser engraved and have less grip, but the minimal difference in height creates a small edge.

Where are your fingers on the deck during different tricks? Keep that in mind if you care about grip and the performance of your design. Take a look at the FBS Mystery Pack designs from the past few years for inspiration. Don't worry too much about the grip or performance of your design. The main thing is that you like it and you would like to ride it yourself.

No, your design does not have to cover the whole tape. For inspiration, take a look at the FBS Mystery Pack designs from the last few years.

Instead of covering the whole tape with a design or pattern, smaller patterns in the right places (rember your finger positioning) are pretty cool. Don't worry too much about the grip or performance of your design. The main thing is that you like it and would like to use it yourself.
